Molinillo, kahta kokoa
Molinillo – Handmade whisk in two sizes
Molinillo is a traditional and authentic whisk that has been used by indigenous peoples, especially the Maya, for thousands of years to froth ceremonial cocoa. This whisk is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, combining deep tradition and practical beauty.
-
Origin and manufacturing:
Molinillos are handcrafted in the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico, where the tradition of woodworking has been passed down from generation to generation. Each whisk is shaped and carved from a single piece of alder wood, and its decorative details are created by burning patterns onto the wood's surface. This craftsmanship has been preserved for nearly 50 years, and each Molinillo is unique. -
Usage:
- Place the Molinillo in the cocoa drink, and spin its handle between your hands to mix and froth the drink. This motion does not require special skill, but it brings a meaningful moment to the ritual, where you can set your intention and connect your energy with the drink.
- Suitable also for crushing fruits and herbs.
-
Code:
- Small: 23 cm – perfect for individual servings or small pots.
- Large: 45 cm – suitable for larger dishes or more extensive use.
Note:
- No machine wash. Hand wash and careful drying recommended to protect the wood.
