Drum Dumplin shamaanirumpu
Drum Dumplin, also known as pellet drum, rattle drum or shaman drum, is a small and light percussion instrument that originated in East Asia and is especially popular in Tibet. Buddhist monks use this instrument in their ceremonies. The drum is double-sided and is played by turning the hand from side to side, which causes the balls attached to the drum to hit the membranes, producing an exotic sound. This sound is well suited for meditation or cultural events.
The instrument is about 20 cm long and about 7 cm in diameter. The drum is made of wood and its membranes are made of natural animal skin. The Drum Dumplin is particularly popular for its cultural significance and is also often used in purification ceremonies to ward off evil spirits.
