A native of southern Europe, the Evergreen Cypress or Cypress of Provence is a tree with gray-brown bark, very small leaves, and fruit in ovoid cones that are green and then brown when ripe. The tree, which can reach a height of 40 meters, adapts to all climates and soils. Its growth is fast and it lives a long time.
