100% pure and natural essential oil obtained by steam distillation from the flowering tops of Rosmarinus officinalis camphoriferum. A shrub native to the scrub and maquis of the Mediterranean, Rosemary is one of the "herbs of Provence" included in Vespasian's list of aromatics and is known for its delicious flavor in culinary dishes. It is cultivated in France and is also produced in the Mediterranean region, where it grows easily (Morocco, Italy, Spain). Its blue-purple flowers bloom from January to May. Rosemary has several chemotypes depending on where it is grown. All contain camphor, but in different proportions, in Rosemary and camphor oil it is on average 20%. These different chemotypes give it different properties that should not be confused. In Italy, rosemary is very symbolic, cultivated three millennia ago, geographically between the Tigris and the Euphrates, for its many virtues.
