100% pure and natural essential oil obtained by distillation (steam distillation) from the resins of Boswellia carterii Birdw. Frankincense (or olibanum) is the incised resin of a large male tree from Arabia, East Africa or India (genus boswellia). This tree produces good quality resin only after ten years. The essential oil of frankincense is obtained from this resin. It is part of the composition of many fragrances that are valued as real treasures. Frankincense, used in numerous sacred rites, provides a wonderful oil for its aroma.
