Professor of Bacteriology Pentti Huovinen explains how health is currently treated with bacteria. The book is based on the latest research results. Before, bacteria were our enemies. Pentti Huovinen is a doctor and Professor of Bacteriology at the University of Turku and an award-winning non-fiction author. He has received the Antero Warelius Prize of Finnish Non-Fiction Writers and the Apple of Good Knowledge of Health Journalists. The children's book Heippa - Täällä bakteeri! (WSOY 2007), published together with illustrator Irmeli Matilainen, has received the State Prize for the Disclosure of Information.
