The HEXEN 2.0 Tarot deck returns in a new edition after a ten-year hiatus. This rare tarot deck has been valued for its unique insight and prophetic themes.
The deck contains 78 alchemical drawings depicting the intertwined histories of the computer and the internet, cybernetics and counterculture, science fiction and future scientific predictions, and government and military research programs. The cards also address social engineering and ideas of the control society. These themes are explored through a variety of philosophical, literary, and political perspectives, including those of anarcho-primitivism, techno-gaianism, and transhumanism.

HEXEN 2.0 explores the history of scientific research in the context of government programs of mass surveillance, exploring concurrent countercultural and grassroots movements. HEXEN 2.0 maps the convergence of science and social sciences within the framework of post-World War II US government and military coercion through the development of cybernetics, the history of the internet, the rise of Web 2.0, and the proliferation of intelligence, and their impact on the future of new systems of social manipulation towards a control society.
HEXEN 2.0 specifically examines the individuals who participated in the Macy Conferences (1946-1953), which aimed to lay the foundation for a general science of the human mind. The project simultaneously examines various philosophical, literary, and political responses to technological developments, including the claims of Anarcho-Primitivism and Post-Leftism, Theodore Kaczynski/The Unabomber, Technogaianism, and Transhumanism, tracing the ideas of earlier thinkers such as Thoreau, Warren, Heidegger, and Adorno, as well as utopian and dystopian visions of the future from science fiction and film.
Based on real events, people, history and scientific predictions of the future, HEXEN 2.0 consists of alchemical charts, Tarot cards, photo-text works, video and a website. HEXEN 2.0 offers a space where one can use the works as a tool to imagine possible alternative futures.
