The Ritual Tarot -korttipakka pohjautuu luovaan prosessiin, jossa perinteiset tarot-symbolit on uudelleenmuotoiltu analogisten kollaasien kautta. Erikoisominaisuudet:

• Korttien taustoille on lisätty piilotetut korttien nimet, jotka näkyvät vain tarkkaan katsottaessa. Korttien kasvot eivät sisällä numeroita tai tekstiä, mikä korostaa visuaalista ja intuitiivista yhteyttä.
• Perustuu Rider-Waite-Smith- ja Crowley Thoth -tarotpakkojen rakenteeseen. Sisältää 23 ison arkanan korttia (mukaan lukien bonuskortti Lust) sekä 56 pienen arkanan korttia.

The Ritual Tarot on suunniteltu syventämään käyttäjän suhdetta tarot-symboliikkaan ja tukemaan henkilökohtaisen tulkintatavan kehittymistä. Täydellinen valinta niin aloittelijoille kuin kokeneillekin tarot-lukijoille.

THE RITUAL TAROT began as a series of analog collages inspired by the symbolism of the Major Arcana. As I dissected and reassembled the 23 traditional archetypes of the Tarot, a complex visual narrative emerged; a language that is distinctly archaic but also holds space in the present; a story that honors the old gods and the new; a voice that speaks to the human psyche - not with words but with symbols. The overwhelmingly positive response to these artworks encouraged me to expand the scope of the project from the original 23 cards to all 78 found in a standard tarot deck. Two and a half years later, I debuted the large-scale collages at an art exhibit alongside the release of the Ritual Tarot, a 78-card tarot deck created from the scaled-down versions of my art.

Many people in the cartomancy community have connected with the Ritual Tarot and the cards have since taken on a life of their own.

THE NEW MARKED EDITION:

I'm taking a new approach with this upcoming edition of the Ritual Tarot:  the format of this version of the deck will follow the tradition of the street magician’s marked deck of playing cards and feature card names  hidden (in plain sight) on the backs of each card in the deck. Titles are discreetly incorporated on the card backs in such a way that you don't notice the names unless you're consciously looking for them. The card faces in the Ritual Tarot are nameless and do not feature titles or numbers - only imagery. This marked card format allows deck users to familiarize themselves with the cards while also developing their own individual relationship with the symbolism of the Tarot. My intention behind this decision is to encourage those who use the deck to form a more intuitive connection with the imagery and to engage in personal myth-making.

DECK SPECS:

THE RITUAL TAROT follows the structure and symbolism of the Rider Waite-Smith Tarot and the Crowley Thoth Tarot: *79-cards in total (including the recent addition of the bonus Lust card). 23 Major Arcana, 56 Minor Arcana.

SHUFFLED INK: I’m very excited to partner with Shuffled Ink, an environmentally friendly playing card manufacturer based in the USA with over 23 years experience printing custom cards. Shuffled Ink has produced millions of decks of custom playing cards, custom card games and custom tarot for individuals and companies around the world and the quality of their products is truly unmatched. I’m printing with Shuffled Ink for several reasons; first and foremost, communication with my printers is incredibly important to ensure that things run smoothly throughout every step of this process. Working with a US based, in-house printer has made correspondence uncomplicated and effortless. With Shuffled Ink, I can rest assured that my business and my cards are in very, very good hands - which for me, is priceless. I’ve been assigned a wonderful project manager who is just a phone call away and have been working with a first class design team over the past few weeks. I sent them a copy from the last printing of the nameless edition as a prototype for color matching, finish, coating etc. and we’ve made upgrades to the card stock for this edition. I've received hard copy proofs for the marked edition and everything looks amazing. 

CARDS: Cards measure 3.5 inches x 5 inches. The card stock will be upgraded to Shuffled Ink's 410gsm ultra black core card stock. This stock is more *opaque and thicker than the previous 350gsm white core card stock (gsm stands for "Grams per Square Meter." The higher the gsm number, the heavier the paper).

*Black core card stock is the standard for poker cards because of its high opacity, meaning that light can’t get through the cards and expose them to other players (they are often used in casino card games where cheating is a concern). Because it's opaque, this card stock provides more visual contrast than standard stock, keeping the graphics printed on each card vivid in colors. This stock will be much more durable than that of the previous edition and will have more flex/bend for shuffling ease. Cards will have rounded corners, a smooth finish and Shuffled Ink’s standard coating (not too shiny but also not matte -- just right). Card backs will feature each card’s corresponding name hidden within the zodiac wheel.

GUIDE BOOKLET: The marked edition guide booklet will be the same dimensions as the cards (3.5 x 5 inches when closed) and will fit inside the card box. The booklets will be perfect bound and feature in depth card descriptions for the Major Arcana, condensed meanings for the court cards and key words for the Minor Arcana. Reversed meanings are also included. 38 pages, text only.

BOXES: The cards and guide book will come in a 2 piece, full-length rigid box with matte lamination. Boxes are made of 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Fibers. Deck boxes will come shrink wrapped for extra protection.
